Yesterday was jux passing like that with cookin..readin..cleanin..since its was raining.. cloudy  outside.. so nothin to do much.Hope the this 2 days will have much better weathers. As usual seafoods take place in my kitchen once or twice in  a week..As seafood lover ,i love to have fish or prawn. So each time i tried to make different flavor of them.Once of them tamarind base gravy which very adaptable with any seafoods.Lets see wat u need.

You Need,

Prawn- 200g
Brinjal-2 cut into pieces
Okra/lady finger-4  cut into halves
Tomato- 2 chopped finely
Ginger/garlic paste- 1 tbspn
Coconut milk- 1/2 cup
Tamarind Juice(thick)- 1/3 cup

Roasted coriander powder- 1 tbsp
Fish Masala- 2 tbsp
Chili powder- 1 tsp
Pepper pwd- 1/2 tsp
Salt as taste

For tempering,

Onion-1 medium chopped finely
Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek seeds- 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1/4 tsp
Green chilies- 3
Curry leaves -1 strand

How I cook,

  1. Extract tamarind juice.Heat oil in kadai ,add mustards, fenugreek, cumin seeds.Once its splutter add chopped onions, curry leaves and green chilies.Saute till the onions turn light brown and thrown in the prawn.Fry for another few minutes.
  2. Now add ginger garlic paste along with tomatoes and dry powders. And saute for few seconds.
  3. Then throw in  brinjal and okra. Mix all together along with salt.Add tamarind juice and required water for the  gravy.Let it cook in medium heat.
  4. Once the prawn and veggies are cooked.Add in coconut milk.Cook in simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Check seasoning. Then remove from heat.
  6. Serve hot with rice.
