One of our old days favourite cake...mummy used to bake this those days....and i like to help her ....after long time i got hold on the recipe..but its didnt turn out exactly same like what mum used to bake....so have to check out with her...but its really sponge n tasty..............

Here what you Need,

Self Raising Flour-200g
Butter-220g
Castor sugar-200g
Eggs-3
Vanilla Essence-1/2 tsp
Cocoa powder- 4 tbsp
Milk-6 tbsp
Green color-a few drops
Mint Juice/peppermint essence-a  few drops


How I make,
  1. Pre- heat oven according your manual.
  2. Line a 20 cm round pan with greaseproof paper.
  3. Beat the sieved self raising flour and butter to smooth paste.
  4. In a separate bowl,whisk the eggs and sugar until spongy.Add the spongy mix and vanilla essence drops gradually into the flour paste.Beat till smooth.
  5. Divide the batter to two.Add cocoa powder and milk to one half.Blend till smooth.Now add green color and mint juice into the other half.
  6. Pour the batter alternatively into the baking pan.
  7. Bake  for 30- 40minutes.

    Subhie,the picture speaks a thousand words. I just love that piece of cake you have served on the plate. I think there is some typo on the 3rd and 4th recipe line,I did follow all the instructions but still wanted to bring it to your notice.
